KAIJUxHUNT was made in 30 days for the Game Off 2025 game jam! Theme: Waves
LET THE HUNT BEGIN!
Kaijus and monsters carry highly valued resources, it's up to Kaiju hunters such as ragtag duo Tuna and Mackerel to hunt highly vicious and dangerous Kaiju. Equipped with a small fishing boat and a manned turret the duo are ready to pursue and deal with any Kaiju threats that face them!
CONTROLS

Left Click - Shoot
Right Click (Hold) - Repair boat
Shift - Dash

Install instructions
Unzip 'KAIJUxHUNT_GameOff2025_JamBuild.zip' and run 'KAIJUxHUNT.exe'.
If you have an Ultrawide monitor (or another irregular sized display) please download 'KAIJUxHUNT_GameOff2025_UltrawideFix.zip' instead.

Really well put together. I would be interested in seeing how it could come together with an upgrade system and a more bosses
Really good game!
Kaiju Hunt is great! The varying different attacks and enemies really capture that great boss energy, and the simple control scheme allows you to focus on reading the enemy rather than making the right combo.
I will note that I played this game on an ultrawide monitor, and while it's perfectly playable, I can see from the screenshots that I was supposed to see a HUD which I definitely didn't :)
